Gauteng’s Southern’s Beekeeping Association will be hosting a talk on The Propagation of Flowering Plants to provide Bee Forage. The talk will be given by Margie Frayne of Meridian Herbs and will take place on Saturday 7 May.

The talk will comprise a practical demonstration of plant propagation ~ cuttings/slips, seed planting, growing medium, care of seedlings, young plants, plant bag medium & planting out new plants. A further discussion will follow on flowering herb plants that attract bees. Attendees will then follow Frayne to a “Teaching Garden” where they can experience the vast companion planted herb & vegetable garden.

Deadline for bookings is Friday 29 April. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Herb Café for freshly made meals after the lecture, as well as a visit to the retail nursery on site. There is plenty of safe parking at the venue.
