LITTLE EDEN, the non-profit organisation that provides lifelong care to children and adults living with profound intellectual disability, is holding its annual Christmas concert on Friday 25 November and Saturday 26 November.
The event will take place at Elvira Rota Village in Bapsfontein from 10 am on both days and entrance to the concert is free of charge.
New skills
The Christmas concert is one of the year’s most anticipated highlights at Little Eden as the residents prepare for months, learning new skills throughout the year.
The concert practices are also an integral part of the home’s stimulation therapy programme. The residents particularly enjoy the singing and dancing segments.
Disney musicals
This year, the concert theme is “100 Years of Disney,” featuring beloved characters from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, The Lion King, and The Jungle Book. It culminates with a classic nativity scene to embrace the true spirit of Christmas.
After the concert, visitors are invited to explore the Christmas market where a variety of interesting items will be available for purchase, including refreshments.
Guided tours
The event is also an excellent opportunity to meet the residents. Guided tours of the facility will be offered to provide insight into the work done by by the society.
Little Eden maintains homes in Edenvale and Bapsfontein. The organisation has offered support services that are focused on the individual needs of each child and adult in their care for the past 56 years
