Smallholders who benefitted from the government’s Covid-19 relief fund for smallholders and small farmers will be pleased to hear the validity period of the vouchers they received has been extended to 31 July 2020.
Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Thoko Didiza, took the decision to extend with the aim of ensuring farmers are able to complete transactions without the pressure of time, as well as to give suppliers time to ensure availability of stock.
The vouchers were originally due to expire on 30 June.
