A farm in Thabazimbi has become available for application to lease from the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD).
The farm is 2400 hectares, and is currently being used for sunflower, sorghum, cattle and game. The property is located roughly 50km west of Thabazimbi and falls under the jurisdiction of the Thabazimbi Local Municipality.
Under state land reform guidelines, the Department will favour previously disadvantaged South Africans (black, coloured and Indian), and particularly women and the youth.
Application forms are available on the DALRRD website here or can be collected from the provincial office in Polokwane and district offices in Thohoyandou, Modimolle and Jane Furse. Application forms must be submitted with the required supporting documents to DALRRD, 70 Hans Van Rensburg Street, Polokwane and at the following offices:
- NTK Building, 4 Limpopo Street, Modimolle
- ABSA Building, 70 Hans van Rensburg Street, Polokwane
