When it comes to starting a nursery business, Rofunwa Nefefe (pictured), founder of Veentiro Trading Nursery in Limpopo, has learnt a great deal along the way. Nefefe’s nursery is about seven kilometres outside Thohoyandou. He started about three years ago on a small stand. “I bought 50 tomatoes from a spaza shop, took them home, squashed them and planted out the seeds. When they grew I would take the fruit to sell in my brother’s bakkie.”
